| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: outgoing, practical, and structured. The three careers that match my style are: neurosurgeon, licensed practical nurse, for short: LPN, and emergency medical technician. From this information I have decided to explore becoming an LPN. I selected this job because I enjoy helping people and the medical field. One of my daily activities as an LPN would be to observe patients, I also have to provide basic patient care and treatment. In addition, I have to help patients with bathing, dressing, and help with standing and walking. To work as an LPN I need to have some college courses with some on-site or training. I must be good at active listening and speaking in order to become a well trained LPN. In the United States, the average salary for a LPN is $40,110 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $38,044. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a LPN is expected to increase by 14%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 20.2%. I am looking forward to becoming an LPN in the future. |
